At Eaton Education, we provide bespoke one-to-one tuition designed to nurture thoughtful, articulate and curious learners preparing for the 7+.

Our sessions focus on developing strong reasoning skills, rich vocabulary, and confident expression; helping children approach assessments with clarity and self-assurance.

Each child receives individual guidance tailored to their pace and personality, with a focus on

• Verbal reasoning - logic, patterns, sequencing, and flexible thinking
• Creative writing - imagination, structure, descriptive language, storytelling
• Reading comprehension - inference, discussion, and deeper understanding
•  Vocabulary development - precision of language and verbal confidence
•  Non-verbal reasoning - visual problem solving and careful observation
• Interview preparation - thoughtful conversation and self-expression

We support children in becoming reflective thinkers, not simply prepared for a test, but equipped with the intellectual curiosity and confidence valued by leading independent schools.

Our 4+ programme is thoughtfully designed around the seven areas of learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring children develop the confidence, curiosity and core skills needed for a successful start to school.

Through small groups, or one to one we bring engaging activities and experienced teaching.  We nurture each child across the three prime areas of development:

• Communication and Language - building vocabulary, listening skills and confident expression.
• Physical Development - strengthening fine motor skills essential for early writing and classroom readiness.
• Personal, Social and Emotional Development - encouraging independence, resilience and positive learning habits.

Alongside these foundations, we develop the four specific areas of learning that underpin early academic success:

• Literacy - phonics, early reading and storytelling.
• Mathematics - number sense, patterns and problem solving.
• Understanding the World - curiosity about people, places and how things work.
• Expressive Arts and Design - creativity, imagination and self-expression.

Our sessions combine structured learning with playful exploration, helping children develop the skills assessed in 4+ school admissions while fostering a genuine love of learning.

Designed for families who would be interested in holiday workshops for children in Key Stage One (reception to Year 2). These small, nurturing sessions focus on building confidence through engaging activities in phonics, early maths, problem solving, language development and creative thinking.

The workshops are designed to support children both academically and socially, helping them strengthen core skills while enjoying a positive and stimulating environment during the school holidays.

Alongside this, there will be plenty of fun, interactive games and collaborative activities designed to develop problem solving, encourage teamwork, and build strong social skills in a relaxed and happy setting.
